ABOUT ABOUT

Come to our second free concert of live classical music in the beautiful setting of Washington Lake Park Amphitheater. Presented in partnership with American Symphony Orchestra (ASO) of New York City, a string quartet featuring musicians from ASO will perform a program of works by Black composers Adolphus Hailstork, Jessie Montgomery, Florence Price, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Trevor Weston, and William Grant Still.
The quartet is comprised of ASO's concertmaster Cyrus Beroukhim, violinist Phillip Payton, principal viola William Frampton, and cellist Alberto Parrini. The concert will be presented without intermission. Current COVID-19 guidelines will be observed for artists, staff, and audience.
Reserve your free ticket so that you will be notified if we postpone for rain date Sept 13. Bring your lawn chair.
Although this concert is free to the public, Music at Bunker Hill will accept donations to help pay expenses, both online and at the concert.
